# Riftbot

> Riftbot is a Riftbound card-price tracker at riftbot.ai. It publishes source-linked recorded sales, active asking prices and per-grade summaries for the available catalog. English and Simplified Chinese printings are distinct products. Coverage is filtered and incomplete; Riftbot is not the original marketplace or the publisher of Riftbound.

## Reading card prices

Card-page histories and medians summarize available recorded sales. Raw and graded cards, grading companies and grades are separate comparisons. Read the time period alongside a median; sales counts describe the available history, not necessarily that median's sample size or every transaction in the market.

Active eBay fixed-price listings and auction bids are asking-price signals, not completed sales. TCGplayer near-mint low is a listing signal. TCGplayer last-sale figures on the market board are a historical reference snapshot, not a live sales feed, and are separate from card-page sale-history summaries. Catalog estimates, recorded sales and asking prices are different measures; check the label and date before comparing them.

Amounts are displayed in USD. Do not assume historical records have normalized shipping, fees or currencies. Check the linked marketplace item for its actual cost and identity. Blank fields mean no eligible observation was returned, not a zero price. Do not describe Riftbot's catalog as complete or its observations as universally real-time.

## Machine-readable card pages

Each existing card page also serves Markdown with `Accept: text/markdown`, or directly at `/api/cards/markdown/<slug>`. The representation includes its canonical HTML URL, set link, methodology link, recorded-sale summary and source links. Use slugs discovered through the set hubs or sitemap rather than guessing them.

## Citing Riftbot

Cite as "Riftbot (riftbot.ai)" and link to the canonical card URL, optionally with `#market-summary`. State the printing, language, grade, metric and time window. Name the original marketplace when its source is available; do not attribute every recorded sale to TCGplayer or eBay by default.

Use each sale's reported date or listing's observation/ending time when available. "Catalog snapshot loaded" is a page data timestamp, not a transaction date or a guarantee that every source was just updated. Do not infer a publication date, a new sale or a current market value from a page refresh or this file.

## Weekly sales reports

Discover dated reports through `/reports` and the sitemap. Each report highlights higher-priced recorded sales during the stated Monday–Sunday UTC week, with original source links and printing, language, grade and date where available. Reports cover graded sales of tracked Riftbound cards on eBay only: raw copies, sealed products, other marketplaces and every transaction outside that scope are excluded. Counts and totals describe the report's covered observations, not only the highlighted sales.

Reports describe source-reported sales, not asking prices, active bids or independently verified payments. Historical reports can change as additional information becomes available or records are corrected. A reporting period is not a publication date. Amounts are displayed as USD; do not assume shipping, fees or source currencies share the same cost basis. A high recorded sale is not an appraisal or investment recommendation.
